The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rolled out a nationwide initiative on Tuesday aimed at reaching out to minority communities, particularly targeting economically vulnerable sections ahead of festive celebrations.
The programme, named 'Saugat-e-Modi', was inaugurated by BJP Minority Morcha president Jamal Siddiqui and involves distributing kits containing eatables and clothing to Muslim women ahead of Eid. Similar distributions are planned for other minority communities during their respective festivals.
A significant workforce of 32,000 BJP Minority Morcha workers across various administrative levels is engaged in implementing the programme. They are tasked with connecting with at least 100 people in their localities, offering these kits, and extending greetings on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
