Shiv Sena (UBT) legislator Anil Parab has launched a scathing attack on Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane, accusing him of making 'divisive' remarks that could jeopardize communal harmony. Parab criticized Rane's attempts to portray himself as the protector of Hindu religion in the Maharashtra legislative council.

The contentious remarks by Rane, who serves as the fisheries and port development minister, revolved around the launch of 'Malhar Certification' for 'jhatka' mutton shops. Parab condemned these statements, describing them as perilous and capable of creating societal tensions.

Parab's rebuke extended to highlighting Rane's purported self-proclamation as a Hinduism savior, which he dismissed as 'false pride'. He cautioned against such rhetoric leading to caste divisions and warned of increasing encroachments on states' rights by central authorities.
