Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), expressed sharp criticism towards the Maharashtra government on Thursday for selectively summoning comedian Kunal Kamra while ignoring actor Rahul Solapurkar's controversial remarks on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Thackeray accused the BJP of hypocrisy, focusing on their 'Saugat-e-Modi' initiative which distributes special kits for Eid, labeling it as 'Saugat-e-Satta' or the 'gift of power.' The Sena leader highlighted how the BJP quick to react towards insults against certain political figures, appeared to overlook conversations around the state's revered historical icons.
Thackeray further condemned the BJP's shifting stand on communal issues, particularly its approach towards Muslim voters, alleging it creates divisions for electoral gains. Despite BJP's attempts to alter their narrative, Thackeray insists on a lack of clarity and organization within the Maharashtra government led by Devendra Fadnavis.
