In a significant reshuffle, the AICC has overhauled the Congress leadership in Kerala by appointing Sunny Joseph as the new KPCC chief, replacing K Sudhakaran. This strategic decision aligns with the upcoming local and assembly elections, aiming to fortify the party's position in the state.
Concurrently, three fresh working presidents, P C Vishnunath, A P Anil Kumar, and Shafi Parambil, were appointed, alongside Adoor Prakash as the new UDF convener, succeeding M M Hassan. These key changes reflect the party's intention to revitalize its standing and attract the drifting Christian community back to its fold.
Sunny Joseph, a seasoned MLA, expressed gratitude to the AICC leadership for entrusting him with the significant role. He emphasized commitment to party unity and electoral victory, stating that his focus is not personal ambition but the collective aim of returning Congress to power in Kerala.
