Union Home Minister Amit Shah engaged in talks with chiefs of the country's border guarding forces late Thursday amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The heightened alert comes after India's recent strikes in Pakistan and PoK, and retaliatory attempts by Pakistan targeting Indian military sites.

During the conversation, Shah was briefed on the security measures undertaken along the international borders. The border forces assured the minister of heightened vigilance and strengthened security postures to counter any potential threats.

Further, Shah also consulted with the chief of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to discuss airport security, as the CISF oversees the safety of most airports, metro networks, and other critical infrastructure across the country.
