In response to escalating tensions following terrorist activities and strikes in the region, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed regional officials to ensure comprehensive preparedness for any situation. This directive comes as India takes stringent actions against terrorism, leading to increased alerts in border regions.
At a high-level meeting at the Secretariat, Dhami emphasized the need for special vigilance in the state's border areas, ordering administrative units to remain on high alert. He directed hospitals to stock life-saving medicines and surgical equipment and mandated the Food and Civil Supplies Department to maintain uninterrupted supply chains of essentials.
Dhami also highlighted the importance of readying relief and rescue teams for prompt emergency response. He called on the Information Department to proactively inform the public and counter misinformation, underscoring the government's commitment to public safety amidst these developments.
