Blackout in Jammu: Residents on Edge Amidst Ongoing Blasts

Jammu city was engulfed in darkness following blasts linked to ongoing shelling by Pakistan. The situation emerged after India's Operation Sindoor targeting terror hideouts. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reported heavy artillery sounds and shared visuals of the blackout, emphasizing the tense atmosphere in the city.

Jammu city found itself in complete darkness on Friday as explosions echoed throughout the region, prompting alarms and a heightened state of alert, according to officials.

These blasts coincide with the persistent shelling by Pakistan, a retaliatory measure following India's recent operations against terror bases within Pakistan's territory under Operation Sindoor earlier this week.

On social media platform X, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah noted the continued sound of heavy artillery and shared an image depicting the blackout in Jammu, further illustrating the escalating tension in the area.
