Tamil Nadu's AIADMK celebrated the 71st birthday of its leader Edappadi K Palaniswami by organizing blood donation camps state-wide. The initiative followed Palaniswami's appeal to avoid personal visits and fanfare due to the nation's conflict with Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Reflecting on the national crisis, Palaniswami had previously requested AIADMK workers to focus on community service rather than birthday celebrations on May 12. Responding to this call, party members conducted blood donation camps and organized annadhanam across Tamil Nadu.
Prominent AIADMK figures, as well as leaders from the allied BJP party, extended their birthday greetings to Palaniswami, demonstrating solidarity and respect amidst the somber national mood.
