100% Webcasting Revolutionizes Transparency in Assembly Bypolls

The Election Commission took a significant step towards increasing electoral transparency by implementing 100% webcasting in recent bypolls across Punjab, West Bengal, Gujarat, and Kerala.
This decision marks a departure from previous practices, where webcasting was limited to only 50% of polling stations and select sensitive locations.
In addition to this, the EC introduced a mobile phone deposit facility for voters, addressing security concerns and preventing rule violations by offering deposit centres outside polling stations for the first time.
