Uttarakhand is gearing up for its three-tier panchayat elections, slated for July 10, as announced by State Election Commissioner Sushil Kumar. Alongside polling, the vote counting will occur on July 19.
Nominations are set to open on June 25 and will close on June 28. Subsequent to the nomination period, the scrutiny of nomination papers will occur from June 29 to July 1, and symbols will be allotted on July 3.
With the election notification now issued, the Model Code of Conduct has come into play and will be active until the results are declared. These elections will be conducted across 12 districts in the state.
