The Indian Congress has launched a scathing criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of maintaining silence amid an ongoing conflict and alleged genocide in Gaza. This lack of response, they claim, has reduced India's moral and political influence on the international stage.
Amidst these tensions, former US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire relating to the US-Israel conflict with Iran. However, he noted that conflict in Gaza persists, leaving a void in leadership responses, particularly from India.
Sonia Gandhi, chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, argued that India's quiet stance marks a shift away from its traditional commitment to a peaceful resolution and urged New Delhi to actively engage in diplomatic efforts to restore peace in West Asia.
