Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made a formal request to Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Tuesday, urging that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) be granted a designated place in Chandigarh for the establishment of a party office.
Mann, addressing Kataria who also serves as the Union Territory Chandigarh Administrator, emphasized the legitimacy and national status of AAP, highlighting its electoral victories in Gujarat, Ludhiana, and Goa as evidence of its widespread presence.
The Chief Minister noted that major political parties already have premises in Chandigarh and submitted a written appeal to the governor to facilitate a similar allocation for AAP, further underscoring the party's readiness and qualifications for the request.
