Rajiv Bindal, a seasoned BJP leader with a robust political track record, is on the cusp of being re-elected unopposed as the Himachal Pradesh BJP president. Bindal, who has served as an MLA five times and held various significant party positions, is the sole candidate nominated for the post.
The re-election process commenced at midnight on Monday at the state BJP office, with prominent leaders such as Jai Ram Thakur, Anurag Thakur, and other senior party members uniting in support of Bindal's nomination, signaling an unchallenged path to leadership. This unanimous backing exemplifies his strong standing within the party ranks.
In a parallel development, eight National Council members are poised to be elected unanimously. This includes party veterans like Govind Thakur and general secretaries Bihari Lal Sharma, Trilok Kapoor, among others, marking a coordinated leadership movement within the state BJP framework.
