The Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhya Pradesh unit is on the cusp of leadership change, with a new president set to be elected on July 2. This change marks a significant shift as Vishnu Dutt Sharma makes way for a new leader.

According to an official statement, the notification for the state organisational polls has been issued. Nominations will open on July 1, and the outcome will be revealed on July 2. The election is being managed by senior leader and election officer, Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, who detailed the nomination processes emphasized the transparency and efficiency of the voting procedure.

Shejwalkar outlined the timeline: nominations can be submitted between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm, followed by scrutiny, potential withdrawal, and finalization of candidates by 8:30 pm. If voting is necessary, it will occur from 11 am to 2 pm the next day. The election also coincides with the completion of the National Council's 44-member election process.
