In a tragic escalation of the conflict, Russian glide bombs and ballistic missiles targeted civilian areas in Ukraine, leaving 22 dead, according to officials. The attacks struck hard in southeastern Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, where glide bombs killed 17 inmates and injured over 80 others in a prison, leading to international outrage. Meanwhile, in the Dnipro region, Russian missiles devastated medical buildings, including a maternity unit, killing four and wounding others.
