In a sharp critique, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his reticence in naming China during the Operation Sindoor discourse in Lok Sabha. Addressing the media outside Parliament, Gandhi accused the government of sidestepping China's involvement in the Indo-Pakistan conflict.

Gandhi pointedly criticized Modi for not directly dismissing U.S. President Donald Trump's contentious claim about mediating peace between India and Pakistan. 'He never clearly said that Trump was lying,' asserted Gandhi, highlighting China's support for Pakistan, while lamenting its omission in the Prime Minister's narrative.

Prime Minister Modi, in response, rebuked the Congress for its alleged antipathy towards military initiatives, labeling this as their 'old attitude'. Amidst discussions on Operation Sindoor, launched after the Pahalgam terror attack, Modi claimed the country laughed at the opposition over their consistent dissent of military actions, and reiterated India's commitment to peace through strength.
