Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the party is adopting tactics of fear and greed to lure Congress leaders into joining its ranks.
At a press conference, Sapkal responded to the resignation of former Jalna MLA Kailash Gorantyal, who recently quit the Congress. Sapkal claimed that BJP's tactics reveal a leadership crisis within the party, as it struggles to create a 'Congress-mukt Bharat'.
Sapkal did not hold back from making further serious allegations against the BJP, accusing the government of financial scams involving public funds and highlighting the plight of farmers suffering from falling crop prices. The Congress president called for urgent action to address these issues.
