Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his condolences on the death of Shibu Soren, the founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
Soren, who was 81, died while receiving treatment for kidney-related ailments at a hospital in Delhi. Sarma highlighted Soren's lifelong dedication to the welfare of deprived communities, tribals, and laborers.
In a heartfelt message, Sarma described the news of Soren's passing as deeply painful, acknowledging the former CM's significant contributions as a Rajya Sabha MP and a leader for the marginalized.
