The convoy of West Bengal Assembly Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari came under attack in Cooch Behar district. BJP leaders allege that TMC supporters targeted the convoy during a protest demonstration.
The Trinamool Congress, however, has dismissed these allegations, describing the incident as a 'well-scripted drama' staged by the opposition party.
As Adhikari's convoy traversed the Khagrabari crossing, it was met with demonstrators holding TMC flags and tossing black flags. Protesters chanted 'go back,' and at least one vehicle's windows were shattered by flying shoes.
