In an initiative to bolster diplomatic relations, India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to meet Nepal's top leaders during his two-day visit. He will engage with Nepal's President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli to discuss pivotal issues including connectivity and development cooperation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned on Saturday that Misri, who arrives in Kathmandu at the invitation of his Nepalese counterpart Amrit Bahadur Rai, will conduct high-level discussions focused on partnership aspects relevant to both countries. These discussions will particularly emphasize the Neighbourhood First policy, under which India has prioritized its relationship with Nepal.

This visit also includes engagements with key political figures to set the stage for Prime Minister Oli's forthcoming trip to New Delhi, which is slated for mid-September. The visit is part of the ongoing high-level exchanges aiming to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.
