U.S. Considers Security Guarantees for Ukraine Peace Deal

On Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed approval of the United States' willingness to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, an initiative aimed at reaching a peace settlement to conclude Russia's war against Kyiv.

Carney emphasized the necessity of strong and credible security assurances for achieving a fair and enduring peace. He commended the United States' openness to offering such guarantees as part of a Coalition of the Willing’s efforts.

The prime minister hailed the leadership of President Trump and the U.S. in creating the opportunity to bring an end to Russia's unlawful conflict in Ukraine.
