Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his congratulations to Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan upon his nomination as the National Democratic Alliance's candidate for the vice president's position.
Radhakrishnan, a seasoned Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Tamil Nadu with a background in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, was announced on Sunday as the ruling alliance's candidate.
Shah expressed confidence in Radhakrishnan's ability to elevate the status of the Upper House due to his considerable experience and wisdom, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Parliamentary Board for their decision.
