During Tuesday's Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar's Nawada, an unexpected incident occurred involving Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's convoy. A police personnel was accidentally struck by the jeep carrying Gandhi and other leaders, leading to a moment of concern among the gathered crowd.
The vehicle's slow pace was due to the dense crowds attending the yatra. Fortunately, the police personnel did not sustain severe injuries and was able to stand immediately after. Gandhi, demonstrating concern, ensured the officer was seated in the jeep and hydrated before proceeding.
However, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized Gandhi, alleging neglect in attending to the officer. The yatra, which started in Wazirganj and proceeds towards a concluding rally in Patna, forms part of a larger campaign strategy similar to the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
