YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a verbal attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, accusing him of ignoring the plight of farmers amid declining crop prices in the state.
Reddy expressed his discontent through posts on social media platform X, highlighting that Naidu has created a crisis for farmers by allowing crop prices to fall. Specific examples include onion sales in Kurnool at Rs. 3 per kg and tomatoes at Rs. 1.50 per kg, prices he deemed unthinkable.
The leader of YSRCP emphasized the government's failure to act despite farmers' appeals for help. He criticized the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for not keeping promises and staging auctions where buyers did not participate. According to Reddy, the situation illustrates the government's ineffectiveness, particularly in assisting farmers during their time of need.
