Speaking to ANI, Majumdar accused the Congress and Gandhi of habitually disparaging India, calling their rhetoric increasingly desperate.

Intent on countering Gandhi's criticism, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi questioned the democratic credentials of the Congress leader. Trivedi criticized Gandhi, suggesting that he leads a party that preserves monarchical traditions under a facade of democracy, and called his criticism of India's democratic framework 'ridiculous'.

Rahul Gandhi's allegations that the BJP-led central government is launching a 'wholesale attack on Indian democracy' were met with indignation by the BJP. They dismissed his claims as an attempt to destabilize the nation's image on international platforms, further accusing Gandhi of undermining India's democratic principles.
