Friendly Contests in Bihar: INDIA Bloc Stays United

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has reaffirmed the unity within the INDIA bloc during the Bihar assembly polls. Dismissing reports of discord, Gehlot emphasized that minor 'friendly contests' between partners on a few seats should not be misconstrued as division within the coalition.

In a conversation with reporters following his meeting with RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, amidst ongoing seat-sharing negotiations, Gehlot conveyed optimism. He announced an upcoming press conference aimed at updating the media regarding the group's cohesive strategy against NDA candidates.

Noting that 'friendly fights' are commonplace across states, Gehlot mentioned that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav are set to commence their election campaign together. The assembly polls are scheduled for November, with counting slated for November 14.
