National Conference Issues Whip for Crucial Rajya Sabha Election

The National Conference (NC) instructed its MLAs to support their candidates in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections regarding four seats from Jammu and Kashmir, issuing a whip to ensure discipline. A competitive election is anticipated, with the NC prioritizing unity among its members to secure victory.

The ruling National Conference (NC) has issued a firm directive to its MLAs, insisting on their presence and loyal voting in an upcoming election for four Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir.

The NC's chief whip, Mubarik Gul, imposed a three-line whip, mandating attendance and adherence to party voting instructions. This move underscores the importance of party unity in the context of a fiercely contested election against the opposition BJP, which has fielded three candidates.

With its assembly strength, the NC is confident in securing three seats, though an intense battle is forecasted for the fourth seat. The election is set for Friday, marking a significant political moment for the NC.
