Mayawati Condemns 'Hate Speech' by Former BJP MLA

In a scathing criticism, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has condemned the remarks made by ex-BJP MLA Raghavendra Pratap Singh, describing them as a blatant attempt to stir communal and caste-related tensions.

Mayawati characterized Singh's statement as part of a 'poisonous and violent game' perpetuated by disruptive elements. She accused these groups of taking the law into their own hands under the pretense of opposing religious conversion and alleged 'love jihad' activities.

The former chief minister emphasized the need for stringent legal actions against such 'anti-social elements' to uphold a civilized governance framework. 'These individuals challenge the constitutional authority,' she asserted, urging state governments to act decisively for the greater public interest.
