Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Critiques 'Lantern' Regime in Bihar
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta criticized the 'lantern' regime, the RJD's rule in Bihar, accusing it of neglecting the state's welfare. She claimed the regime was family-focused, causing Bihar's youth to seek jobs elsewhere. Opposition parties argue her comments inadvertently criticize her own political alliance in Bihar.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made waves on Wednesday as she took a firm stance against the previously ruling 'lantern' regime in Bihar, symbolized by the RJD's 15-year governance. Gupta alleged that during this period, the regime prioritized familial benefits over the state's welfare.
Speaking at rallies in Muzaffarpur and Patna, she questioned why Bihar suffered economically for so long and suggested that it was because those in power cared more for their families than for the welfare of the people, leading many youths to seek livelihoods outside the state.
Her remarks drew reactions from the Congress, which noted her critique inadvertently spotlighted issues within her own alliance, the NDA, which has governed Bihar for two decades. Reacting similarly, Shiv Sena's Priyanka Chaturvedi emphasized that Gupta's words unmask her coalition's failures in Bihar, highlighting problems of development and governance.
