In a significant push towards local production, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the state's commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Vocal for Local' initiative. Speaking at the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Rail Passenger Connect Campaign' launch in Chandigarh on Friday, Saini emphasized that India's path to development lies in embracing domestically manufactured goods.

The event, attended by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu, aimed to publicize Prime Minister Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047. Saini interacted with railway passengers, distributing informational materials about the campaign, which seeks to expand local industries and boost economic growth.

Highlighting India's economic transformation from the world's 13th largest economy in 2014 to the fourth, Saini expressed confidence in achieving the third spot globally through self-reliance and modernized infrastructure. He criticized Congress for alleged corruption and credited Modi for prioritizing development, upgrading railway stations like Chandigarh and Panchkula to modern standards under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
