Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan received a warm welcome from opposition MPs on Monday, with a clear message: ensure equal opportunity for all voices. In his first day overseeing the Upper House, leaders emphasized the importance of fair representation in parliamentary proceedings.
DMK leader Tiruchi Siva underscored Radhakrishnan's role as the custodian of both his office and democratic processes. Siva stressed that democracy thrives when minority voices are heard, calling for the revival of the Central Hall to bridge the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
In a similar vein, BJD leader Sasmit Patra and CPI-M member John Brittas advocated for inclusivity of all political ideologies.
