A political storm is brewing in Maharashtra as Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve shared videos allegedly featuring a rival Sena MLA on a call surrounded by cash bundles, suggesting this wealth is linked to ruling party members. The incident was highlighted during a heated winter session of the state legislature.
Sena minister Sanjay Shirsat, however, dismissed the videos as artificially created, aiming to stir up controversy without solid proof. Danve's allegations did gain traction when NCP legislator Shashikant Shinde demanded an investigative probe within the legislative council.
Adding to the drama, political figures, including Congress leader Nana Patole, critiqued the ruling Mahayuti alliance for purportedly seeking power to exploit state resources. The episode has intensified existing rivalries within Maharashtra's political landscape.
