The AIADMK commenced its general council and executive committee meetings on Wednesday, concentrating efforts on forthcoming Assembly elections. Enthusiastic party members warmly welcomed Edappadi K Palaniswami, AIADMK general secretary and the Leader of the Opposition in Tamil Nadu, upon his arrival.
The focus of this crucial meeting is on strategizing for the upcoming polls, marking the party's preparations to contest effectively in the electoral battle ahead.
Before the executive council meeting, it was announced that the ailing Presidium Chairman A Tamilmagan Hussain would be replaced by Munuswamy as the temporary presidium chairman for the day. The meeting, held at a popular marriage hall in Vanagaram, is set to pass 16 significant resolutions.
