Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal asserted on Sunday that India's global standing has significantly improved since the BJP took power in 2014. Speaking at a gathering in Lucknow, Goyal highlighted the nation's evolution under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leadership.

He contrasted the current political landscape with pre-2014, citing rampant corruption and poor law enforcement in Uttar Pradesh. Goyal commended Modi for redefining governance, emphasizing India's enhanced respect internationally and domestic economic growth.

Lauding Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Goyal credited him for transforming the state into a thriving economy, curbing mafia activities, and creating a secure environment for industrialists. He underscored the impactful changes in both India and Uttar Pradesh over recent years as exemplary to the world.
