In a major political development, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has claimed significant victories in Punjab's zila parishad and panchayat samiti elections. As reports flow in from across the state, AAP's dominance has been prominently established, particularly in more than 900 zones.
The counting process, which commenced at 8 am across 154 centers, witnessed AAP securing key wins, with the party leading in numerous zones. According to AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, these results underscore the people's support for the government's policies.
Despite AAP's success, the electoral process faced challenges. Allegations of interference and malpractice were raised by opposition parties, questioning the integrity of the elections. The Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) criticized AAP, accusing it of using state machinery to influence outcomes.
