Mexico Urges UN Action Amid Venezuela Tensions
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has called on the United Nations to prevent violence in Venezuela amid rising tensions with the U.S. She asserted Mexico's stance against foreign intervention. This follows U.S. President Trump's recent blockade on Venezuelan oil tankers, escalating the situation further.
On Wednesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum called on the United Nations to step up and prevent further violence in Venezuela as tensions rise between the South American nation and the United States.
During a morning press conference, Sheinbaum emphasized Mexico's opposition to foreign intervention and interference, particularly concerning Venezuela.
The plea comes after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a new blockade on oil tankers tied to Venezuela, which has been condemned by the government of Nicolas Maduro as a 'grotesque threat.'
