On Friday, the youth wing of the Tipra Motha Party led a protest at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, voicing opposition to an 'anti-India campaign' and incendiary remarks made by a Bangladeshi leader regarding the Northeast region of India.
Security measures were intensified in response, with law enforcement, including Tripura State Rifles and CRPF personnel, deployed for precaution. The protest underscored tensions reminiscent of a previous breach that prompted a government apology.
Tipra Motha's leader, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, implored political rivals to unite against external threats. The protests align with regional unrest following the death of Hadi, a key political figure, his assassination triggering widespread disturbances in Bangladesh.
