Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar clarified on Thursday that his recent meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was routine. Shivakumar stressed that these interactions should not read too much, as he plans to continue engaging with the party leadership on various issues.
The Deputy CM linked his tweet, "Effort may fail but prayers won't," to the Cauvery dispute developments. He acknowledged a positive turn in the legal proceedings, citing the court's directive for the Centre to decide on the Mekedatu Balancing Reservoir issue as a critical development.
Shivakumar refuted various interpretations of the meeting and expressed unawareness of any jubilation among his supporters following the interaction.
