Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin currently has no plans to speak with Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez, but emphasized that communication could occur rapidly if necessary.
Despite not scheduling immediate talks, Russia and Venezuela are maintaining ongoing diplomatic interactions according to Peskov.
Moscow has reinforced its partnership with Caracas over the years. This relationship has intensified with President Nicolas Maduro's recent legal issues in the U.S., where he faces contested drug charges.
