He also stated that BJP Tamil Nadu in-charge Piyush Goyal is scheduled to visit the state to continue negotiations.

Addressing rumors of other alliances, Palaniswami refuted engagement with the Vijay-led TVK and ruled out the inclusion of any new party in the NDA. Concerning remarks by Rajya Sabha MP C Ve Shanmugam about actress Nayanthara, Palaniswami acknowledged the apology and discouraged further discussion.
