In a compelling call for political unity, Sanjay Jadhav, the MP for Parbhani Lok Sabha constituency, has encouraged the incoming alliance of Shiv Sena factions led by Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He cited the alliance of Pawars in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad civic polls as a model for unity.
Jadhav expressed concerns over the BJP's strategy, accusing it of trying to overshadow Shinde politically. He mentioned the recent Parbhani Municipal Corporation elections, where the Shiv Sena (UBT) showcased dominance by winning 25 of the 65 wards, while the BJP secured 12 seats and the Shiv Sena failed to secure any.
Reflecting on the split of the Bal Thackeray-founded Shiv Sena in 2022, Jadhav suggested Shinde's past actions were financially motivated but cautioned about BJP's eventual takeover. He urged for a demonstration of unity akin to that of Ajit and Sharad Pawar.
