The Congress Parliamentary Party's strategy group will convene on Tuesday at the residence of its chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, to outline their approach to the approaching budget session. This crucial meeting aims to solidify the party's stance on various issues expected to be discussed when Parliament resumes.
An all-party meeting is scheduled for January 27, designed to facilitate a smooth legislative process in both Houses. Opposition parties are anticipated to bring forth key issues they plan to debate during the session.
The Budget Session is set to begin on January 28, continuing through April 2, with a scheduled intersession break. It will open with an address from President Droupadi Murmu, uniting both Houses. The Union Budget for 2026-27 will be presented on February 1, during the session's 30 sittings.
