Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said the people of Tamil Nadu are fed up with the DMK, alleging that it is an incompetent, ''terribly corrupt'' government and represents a ''totally anti-Tamil culture''. BJP Tamil Nadu election-in-charge Goyal said victory in the forthcoming assembly elections in the state for the BJP will not be difficult. There is no need for the BJP to woo actor Vijay in Tamil Nadu polls as superstars come and go with no impact on the elections, he added. ''There is so much anti-incumbency against the DMK-led government. It's an incompetent, terribly corrupt government. (Tamil Nadu Chief Minister) Stalin represents a totally anti-Tamil culture, anti-India stands,'' he told PTI in an interview. The discordant notes between their (DMK's) alliance partners are also visible, he said. ''I am very confident that the AIADMK-led NDA alliance, in which the BJP is an important partner, is going to win this election and would bring back good governance...NDA will bring back that good governance of Jayalalithaa ji to Tamil Nadu,'' he noted. The minister also dismissed any impact of actor Vijay in the state polls. ''I do not know what impact he will have on the elections. We have seen many film stars come and go. Having fan following and converting them into votes is a totally different story,'' he said, adding that ''you need organisation, you need people's understanding and confidence in you as an administrator. We have seen many film stars, we have seen Kamal Haasan come without any impact''. Goyal said Vijay may cut the votes of the DMK a little bit. ''But beyond that, I don't see much impact. Our voter base of the NDA remained intact, and, we will form the government in time,'' he said. When asked if BJP has no intentions of bringing him to fold, he said, ''To the best of my knowledge, we have not even had any discussions''. He added that MGR (M G Ramachandran) wasin public life for many years before his foray to become the chief minister of the state. ''Jayalalithaa Ji was under the tutelage of MGR for decades before she became Chief Minister. But stars like Mr. Kamal Haasan came and turned out to be rocket that never launched,'' he noted. On the assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal and Kerala, the minister said the BJP will certainly be repeating the government in Assam. ''West Bengal this time is up for change. The governance of West Bengal has reached the lowest levels that it could. The people of West Bengal are suffering. The people of West Bengal have seen through the mis-governance of the Trinamool Congress and Mamata Didi. ''And I see no way that they're going to vote her back into government,'' he said adding in Kerala, the BJP for the first time formed our first municipal corporation in Thiruvananthapuram. ''And I'm quite confident we'll play a very important role going forward, we will increase both our vote share and the number of seats that we will win this time, and are committed to strengthening our work in Kerala so that ultimately we form a government in Kerala too,'' he added.
