Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's recent social media post has ignited a political firestorm. Leaders from Congress and BJP have lambasted Mann, accusing him of disrespect towards spiritual leaders, following his cryptic message on X.
The post followed a meeting between Dera Beas sect head Gurinder Singh Dhillon and SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia, leading to speculation that Mann's message was directed at Dhillon. Congress's Partap Singh Bajwa and BJP's Tarun Chugh have demanded that the AAP leadership clarify their stance.
Bajwa and Chugh argue that Mann's comments contradict Punjab's cultural respect for spiritual figures, highlighting Dera Beas's contributions to humanitarian efforts. Bajwa insists no past chief minister has made remarks undermining saints and spiritual institutions.
