Nainar Nagenthran, Tamil Nadu BJP chief, has openly criticized actor-politician Vijay, accusing his party of lacking a clear direction. Speaking to reporters, Nagenthran challenged Vijay to outline the policies of his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, ahead of the critical Assembly election.
An AIADMK leader echoed the demand, urging Vijay not to rely on the legacy of former leaders M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa in his campaign. Meanwhile, Nagenthran dismissed criticisms of the BJP's alliances, emphasizing that the NDA has clearly designated AIADMK's Edappadi K Palaniswami as the chief ministerial face for the state election.
The BJP leader also commented on the alleged political dynamics among other parties, questioning recent interactions between DMK and Congress leaders. He asserted that unlike its rivals, the NDA in Tamil Nadu is unified and prepared for the 2026 elections, where Palaniswami is poised to emerge as the Chief Minister.
