In a historic victory, Kolagani Srinivas and Y Sunil Rao were elected as Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation. This marks the first time a BJP leader has claimed the mayoral position in the city, breaking previous political norms.
BJP's success in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation elections highlights the party's growing influence in the region. Of the 66 wards, BJP won 30, outpacing rivals Congress, BRS, and AIMIM. Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao affirmed the party's commitment to transforming Karimnagar into a model city.
Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, lauded the victory as a testament to PM Narendra Modi's development vision. He emphasized that the BJP's grassroots efforts and steadfast dedication were pivotal in overcoming adversities and securing the win.
