Congress Gears Up for Bagalkote and Davangere South Bypolls

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, led by President D K Shivakumar, has formed steering committees to strategize for the upcoming by-elections in Bagalkote and Davangere South. These bypolls follow the deaths of sitting MLAs H Y Meti and Shamanur Shivashankarappa. Committees are comprised of key district ministers and party leaders.

With by-elections looming in Bagalkote and Davangere South, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President, D K Shivakumar, has strategized to ensure a party win.

Steering committees have been established for both constituencies upon instructions from the All India Congress Committee, as conveyed in a media release dated March 6.

The bypolls are necessitated after the passing of Congress MLAs H Y Meti and Shamanur Shivashankarappa. Key ministers and party leaders will form part of the constituency-specific committees to helm the campaign.
