Jishnu Dev Varma Arrives to Take Charge as Maharashtra Governor

Maharashtra's next Governor, Jishnu Dev Varma, landed in Mumbai on Monday, signaling his imminent commencement of duties. Varma was received at the Mumbai airport by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis alongside his wife, Sudha Dev Varma.
Welcoming the new Governor, a host of key state figures, such as Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde, and Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde, were present. The security scene was overseen by state police chief Sadanand Date and Mumbai police commissioner Deven Bharti.
The official swearing-in ceremony for Jishnu Dev Varma is set for March 10, taking place at Lok Bhavan in south Mumbai, marking the start of his tenure in a significant state role.
