CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam has stated that the Sabarimala gold loss scandal is set to have repercussions for the Congress-led UDF and BJP, effectively insulating the ruling LDF from any electoral damage in Kerala's upcoming elections.
During an interview with PTI, Viswam dismissed claims of anti-incumbency against the LDF, suggesting instead that there's pronounced pro-Left sentiment in the state. He criticized the Congress for allegedly aligning with Islamist groups, tagging them as "Muslim versions of the RSS."
Viswam emphasized the LDF's stand against religious extremism and highlighted efforts to counter poverty and improve infrastructure in Kerala. He expressed confidence that these measures would secure the LDF more seats in future elections.
