The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has revealed its manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, presenting 10 significant commitments to the people. The manifesto outlines intentions to expand welfare programs, bolster healthcare systems, and develop infrastructure.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee highlighted these pledges as instrumental for the government's path, should TMC secure a fourth consecutive term. Among the notable initiatives is a healthcare outreach named 'Duare Chikitsa,' promising health camps in every block and town, delivering essential medical services directly to citizens.
Furthermore, the manifesto pledges an increase in the monthly financial assistance given to women through the 'Lakshmir Bhandar' scheme, emphasizing the empowerment of women as a government priority. The proposed changes include augmenting financial aid to Rs 1,500 for general category women and Rs 1,700 for those from Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
